Lombardy Region "You may have the universe if I may have Italy" Verdi After landing at Malpensa Airport we will spend Days 2, 3, 4 & 5 in the Lombardy region of Italy visiting the city of Como, Lake Como, Bellagio and Milan. We will cross the Swiss border on our Scenic Lugano excursion and visit a monastery in the town of Pavia. Located in the northern part of Italy, the region is divided into three distinct zones - mountains, hills and plains. Sharing a border with Switzerland, Lombardy backs up to the Alps, making it a favorite sports locale. The foothills give way to the fertile lowlands of the Po Valley with its rice paddies.
